Mark Zuckerberg said Donald Trump's defiance after surviving an assassination attempt at a campaign rally last weekend was "badass," but he won't go as far as endorsing him.

The CEO of Meta Platforms told Bloomberg News that he has no plans to give his backing to either Trump or President Joe Biden.

"Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life," Zuckerberg told Bloombert during an interview Thursday.

"On some level as an American, it's like hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that's why a lot of people like the guy," he said.

The tech titan said he is "not planning" to get involved in the 2024 election.

Other influential Silicon Valley figures like Tesla's Elon Musk and venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz said they would donate to the former president.

Trump was speaking at the rally in Butler, Pa., Saturday afternoon when a gunman opened fire, with one of the bullets grazing his right ear.

The former president addressed the attempt on his life for the first time publicly Thursday night as he accepted the Republican Party's presidential nomination, saying he was alive by the "grace of almighty God."

The amazing thing is that prior to the shot, if I had not moved my head at that very last instant, the assassin's bullet would have perfectly hit its mark, and I would not be here tonight. We would not be together," Trump told the crowd at the Republican National Convention.

Zuckerberg suspended Trump from Facebook and Instagram for two years after a crowd of pro-Trump supporters rioted at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. 2021. Trump has since been reinstated on the platforms.
