The Clippers (44-20) head into Monday's contest looking for their eighth straight win. A 109-108 win on Saturday against Atlanta netted the Clippers their seventh consecutive victory.
"In the locker room, I almost felt like we lost the game, because we expect a lot from themselves," Clippers star Chris Paul said, via ESPN. "But the name of the game is winning. So obviously, we're happy we won. But there's a lot of things we need to clean up."
Phoenix (36-26), meanwhile, appears poised for a postseason berth despite losing five of their last 10 games, including a 113-107 defeat on Sunday at Golden State.
"I thought in that third quarter we really got outhustled," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said, via ESPN. "They were active. They were aggressive for the ball. They wanted it more than we did."
Phoenix trails the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth playoff seed in the Western Conference; Los Angeles sits in the No. 4 spot and are just three games out from the top seed, currently held by the San Antonio Spurs.
