Tech mogul Elon Musk has reposted a video of Donald Trump blowing up President Joe Biden just days after an assassination attempt on the former president and Republicans bashing Democrats for what they characterized as violent rhetoric.
"Best AI video to date," gushed Musk, who is now contributing $45 million a month to a superpac backing the Trump campaign. ("We have to be nice to him now," Trump said at a rally Saturday.)
The posted cartoon video by @Cyncratic is a remake of the final fight scene in the 1999 sci-fi film "The Matrix," starring Keanu Reeves as Neo, which features alien-enslaved humans who are unaware of their situation because their minds are controlled by a complex computer system.
In the video Trump takes the place of Neo barely breaking a sweat as he faces off against Biden as the chief alien representative Agent Smith. Other "agents" Barack Obama and Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg stand by.
The scene ends with Trump exploding Biden into bits.
The video can be seen here. HNGN is not reposting it because of its depictions of violence against the president.
Critics were appalled.
"Why are you showing videos of Donald Trump murdering Joe Biden?" asked one on X.
Another reported Musk's post to his own company for violating X's policies against depictions of murder and death.
