Vodafone UK has a sweet deal with its Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone; the first 3,000 pre-orders will get a 32-inch Sony BRAVIA TV free.
Sony fans in the UK wanting the all-new Xperia Z2 have some of the best pre-order deals on offer. Different retailers are offering special deals on pre-orders, such as a free Sony SRS-BTM8 wireless speaker and the MDR-NC31EM noise cancelling headphones along with £120 ($200) worth freebies from Clove retailer, SRS-BTX300 NFC and Bluetooth enabled two-channel speaker directly from Sony and the latest one comes from the biggest UK carrier, Vodafone.
GSM Arena spotted an offer from Vodafone UK letting customers pre-order the Sony Xperia Z2 before April 10 and the first 3,000 responders will get a free 32" Sony LED TV, which usually costs £300 ($500). Interested buyers can choose to take up a two-year 3G contract for £42 per month with unlimited calls, texts and limited 1GB data. If data speed is a concern, then users can pick up a 4G plan with two years contract for £47 per month. This plan offers unlimited calls and text along with a generous 3GB data. Contract-free deals are currently not an option with Vodafone.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is also set to arrive on other UK carriers, including O2 and EE, with some major retailers joining such as Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U. If you are bent on buying an unlocked SIM-free handset, head over to Carphone Warehouse and pre-order the Sony Xperia Z2 for £549.95 ($915), saving £50 on the purchase if bought from Sony for £599 ($997).
If you are looking for the best price on the Sony Xperia Z2, the Unlocked Mobiles.com has it for £544.98 ($907), which also brings in a speaker, noise cancelling headphones and content package worth up to £200 ($332). Clove online retailer's price for the Xperia Z2 is £550 ($915) along with freebies with £120 ($200) and speaker and headphones.
Sony announced the Xperia Z2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 in Barcelona and it features an impressive 5.2-inch full HD display, powerful 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 4K recording, 4G LTE support, and a 3,200 mAh battery.
While Vodafone's limited pre-order offer appears to be a generous one, the LED TV in question cannot play 4K videos shot with the Xperia Z2. But if you can live with that, the Sony BRAVIA TV has a resolution of 1,366 x 768.
Vodafone has some eligibility criteria to win Sony TV with Xperia Z2 pre-orders. Order must be placed between March 10 and April 9 and only the first 3,000 pre-orders will get the TV free. Buyers will have to wait until the first month's bill and register the claim for the TV between May 8 and July 8 here. Sony will ship the TV to the registered address within 28 days.
