Miami (44-17) ended their three-game losing streak on Monday with a 99-90 win against the Washington Wizards. The win was essential for the Heat, according to star Dwyane Wade.

"We needed this win," Wade said, via ESPN. "We wasn't down on ourselves, but we really don't like losing two games in a row and we lost three. So this was a good way to pick it back up, and now we have a great week at home."

The second of Miami's four-game home-stand comes against the Nets, who've improved since the start of the new year. Brooklyn (32-30) has won seven of their last 10 games, including two straight. Their latest victory came on Monday in a 101-97 win against their division rivals, the Toronto Raptors.

"I knew the implications of this game. Maybe if it was a different type of game, (I sit out)," Nets star Paul Pierce said. "But this was one of our biggest games of the year. Division rival, a lot on the line tonight, so you can always pen me in with those types of games."

Brooklyn is not only getting hot at the right time, they're also getting healthy. Although Brook Lopez is done for the season with a foot injury, both Kevin Garnett (back) and Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) could return on Wednesday.

The Nets' resurgence in the Eastern Conference hasn't gone unnoticed by the Heat, either.

"(The Nets) are playing some great basketball right now," Heat star LeBron James said. "We look forward to playing a team that's been playing good."
