The Seton Hall Pirates play the Villanova Wildcats on Thursday in the 2014 Big East Tournament quarterfinals. Tipoff is at 12:00 p.m. ET. Listen to the free live radio broadcast or watch the live stream via the links provided below.
No. 3 Villanova won 12 of their last 13 games, including six straight. The Wildcats' 28-3 record brought them their first Big East regular-season title in eight years and a berth in their conference tournament's quarterfinals. Although winning the conference championship could give Villanova the top seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament, coach Jay Wright said his concern is just on winning the Big East championship.
"I don't think there's that much of a difference with a one and a two (seed)," Wright said, via ESPN. "Being considered up there is great, but it's no concern for us. The Big East tournament will be fun."
Wright, who was named Big East coach of the year, also admitted his team's accomplishments so far this season have exceeded his expectations.
"I don't try to predict our record but if someone forced me to, I never would've predicted 28-3," Wright said.
Villanova concluded their season with a 77-59 win on Saturday against Georgetown.
Seton Hall (16-16), meanwhile, won three of their last seven games, including their regular-season finale against Butler. Senior center Eugene Teague accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Pirates' 51-50 win.
"Eugene played terrific," Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard said. "No one really knew this. He's been battling the flu since Saturday. I wasn't even sure he was going to be able to play as bad as he looked yesterday."
