Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall traded jabs Thursday night on Twitter. Hall appeared to fire the first shot, which set off an exchange that even had Chad Johnson and Hall of Fame cornerback Darrell Green chiming in.
It's uncertain what caused Hall to seemingly attack Sherman on Twitter, but Sherman didn't hesitate to fire back at the Redskins veteran.
Hall apparently prompted the exchange with this:
I can't lie @RSherman_25 the world wants to see you lock up with guys like @Bigplaycj @DezBryant @ajgreen_18 all game long. I do too!!!!!!

ESPN presented more concise, easy-to-ready exchange of Sherman and Hall's tweets at each other.
Some of the original tweets were later deleted, and the timeline of the exchange becomes difficult to follow. At some point, though, Johnson jumped in to play peacemaker.
@DeAngeloHall23 @RSherman_25 Both of you are great at what you do, case closed!!!!! — Chad Johnson (@ochocinco) March 14, 2014
Green, a former Redskin, later entered the Twitter fight and appeared to end it.
@DeAngeloHall23 @RSherman_25 @DeionSanders Let's start building each other up for a change, our kids need that and deserve that from us!
