No. 6 Virginia defeated Florida State and Pittsburgh to earn a spot in the ACC final. The Cavaliers' 51-48 win against Pittsburgh on Saturday came down to sophomore guard Justin Anderson blocking a potential game-tying 3-pointer with three seconds remaining, ESPN reports.
"There's no better feeling, of course, but we'll celebrate later," Anderson said, via ESPN. "We're to a point where we have a chance to make a run, not just in the ACC but the NCAA tournament, and we have to ... continue to be humble. This team cherishes that and this team understands that and we'll be fine."
A win on Sunday would end Virginia's 38-year drought since winning a conference title.
Duke, meanwhile, is looking for their 20th ACC title. The No. 7 Blue Devils narrowly escaped Friday's game against Clemson with a win before comfortably beating NC State on Saturday, 75-67.
Duke has won 18 of their last 20 meetings against Virginia, including their last meting on Jan. 13, when sophomore guard Rasheed Sulaimon hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 18 seconds left.
"All I just remember is us winning and Rasheed coming through with a big play," said Parker, who struggled in that game. "A lot of games aren't going to be won by me but by my teammates and they pull through. Hopefully, I can be there for them."
