UPDATE (3/13/15) : HERE
Florida's winning streak has continued into the SEC tournament, where the No. 1 Gators cruised past Missouri and overcame a double-digit deficit against Tennessee to earn a spot in the conference championship final.
"This group has resiliency and a competitiveness," Gators coach Billy Donovan said after the win against Tennessee, via ESPN. "We have our faults. We're not perfect. But I've never walked off the court saying, 'Wow, these guys didn't get after it, they didn't compete.'"
Florida, whose winning streak now sits at 25 straight games, will have a quick turnaround with the NCAA tournament beginning next week. Donovan admitted last week he hoped the NCAA would adjust their scheduling in the future to give teams playing in conference championships more time before the start of March Madness.
"None of that stuff is obviously ideal. We'll have to go out there and play (Thursday) regardless," Donovan said. "That was just something I would say we need to look at. But I think our guys will be excited about playing. Regardless where it is, we'll have time to get prepared and ready to play."
Kentucky, meanwhile, hopes to have better luck against Florida on Sunday than they did in their regular-season finale. The Wildcats bounced back from Florida's 84-65 drubbing on March 8 by winning against LSU and Georgia for a spot in the SEC final.
