Konami may have accidentally leaked the release date for their upcoming title, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."
According to IGN, a Reddit user pointed out in his registration for "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes," Konami wrote their will be a bonus DLC available in their "follow-up game early next year."
Konami director Hideo Kojima has told fans on multiple occasions to not expect "Phantom Pain" any time soon since the game is slated to be 200 times the size of its prologue, IGN reports. However, the MGS creator's warnings doesn't mean the game won't be ready in time for a 2015 release date.
The MGS5 titles will be available on multiple platforms, but Kojima recently revealed to Famitsu (via DualShockers) which next-gen console he favors over the rest.
"I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best," Kojima said. "It's also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It's the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at."
Though Kojima loves the PS4's quality hardware in terms of game development, he explained he enjoys the challenge of building a title across multiple plaforms.
"Kojima thinks that while everyone says that it was difficult to develop with PS1, PS2 and PS3, he actually liked that, as he liked the challenge," DualShockers reports. "Now the times have changed and multi-device, multi-platform, multi generation development has become commonplace."
"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes," official prequel to "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," will be released on March 18.
