Savannah Guthrie became the subject of breaking news on Monday by announcing some big news, Yahoo Celebrity reported.
The "Today" co-anchor revealed that not only did she secretly marry her political consultant beau Mike Feldman over the weekend, but they are expecting their first child.
The wedding, which took place near her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, was recapped by the 42-year-old who was back on her NBC morning show on Monday instead of taking a honeymoon.
Matt Lauer and Al Roker, her colleagues, were among the wedding guests. Lauer called her a "beautiful bride."
According to Yahoo Celebrity, Roker shared this Twitter snapshot from the wedding, which was attended by between 80 and 90 guests, also including "Today's" Hoda Kotb and Willie Geist as well as Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorthea.
"On 'Today,' Guthrie showed footage from the desert wedding, including the highlight of the reception when an NBC breaking news announcement was played over the PA system and Guthrie, with Feldman by her side, announced that she is four-months pregnant," Yahoo Celebrity reported. "The baby news brought guests to their feet. They cheered wildly and clapped for the newlyweds."
"I did break a little bit of news," Guthrie said with a smile on "Today." "We are so excited and overjoyed and feel so blessed."
Guthrie said she was relieved that she didn't have to alter her wedding plans or dress too much after finding out that she was pregnant.
"It's funny because we set the wedding date - I bought my dress - and then we found out," she said. "So I was doing a little praying that I would fit in it, and it all worked out."
Guthrie, who wore Monique Lhuillier, added, "I'm so happy to tell the world because I can't suck in this gut anymore."
She showed off her massive sparkler on the set of NBC morning show last May as the newswoman first announced her engagement and told her colleagues that Feldman had popped the question.
The pair met in 2008 at Feldman's 40th birthday party, Yahoo Celebrity reported.
