NC State, an ACC team that was on the bubble, has the chance to advance in the NCAA tournament with a win on Tuesday. The Wolfpack (21-13) has won four of their last five games, with their only defeat coming in the ACC Tournament on Saturday against Duke.

Their end-of-the-season push was enough to earn a spot in the first round of the tournament, where inexperience could be a factor for both teams.

"We have so many young guys, this is a new experience for them," NC State coach Mark Gottfried said, via the Associated Press. "We need to make sure that we're not just excited to be here because when you're young, sometimes that happens."

Despite losing their last two games of the regular-season, Xavier (21-12) also was selected. Although the Xavier and NC State have never played each other, according to the Associated Press, Xavier's Semaj Christon and NC State's T.J. Warren know each other well from the one year they played together at Brewster Academy.

"We have a good relationship," Warren said. "I'm familiar with his game. He's from Cincinnati, so it's not too far from here. So it's going to be a lot of fun to play against him in the NCAA tournament. Really looking forward to it."
