A 24-year-old man was fatally shot outside of a California home on Tuesday, KTLA-TV reported.
Authorities responded to a call about a "gunshot victim" in Compton around 11 p.m., Lt. John Corina of the Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau said in a news release.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
According to the release, witnesses saw the man get shot but did not get a good look at the shooter. There are currently no suspects in the case.

There have been a total of 38 homicides in Compton over the last 12 months, according to the Los Angeles Times.
