Afghanistan bounced back from their opening loss against Bangladesh with a seven-wicket win on Tuesday against Hong Kong. Mohammad Shahzad won the Man of the Match award for scoring a game-high 68 runs, and Shafiqullah Shafiq added 51 runs (not out). On the bowling front, Shapoor Zadran, Hamza Hotak and Mohammad Nabi all took two wickets apiece.
Nepal followed their win against Hong Kong with an eight-wicket loss on Tuesday to Bangladesh. Skipper Paras Khadka and Sharad Vesawkar were the only sources of offense for Bangladesh, scoring 41 and 40 runs, respectively. Nepal's bowlers struggled and managed to take just one wicket in the contest.
