Virginia Boy, Lucas Guinn, Found Safe; Amber Alert Cancelled

An Amber Alert issued for an 11-year-old Virginia boy was cancelled after he was found safe in southwest Virginia, the Virginia Pilot reported.

Lucas Guinn was located during a traffic stop, according to the Russell County Sheriff's Office. His father, Jimmy Donald Guinn, 67, was arrested.

The alert, issued for Lucas on Thursday, claimed he was in "extreme danger" and was last seen at Lebanon Middle School. Investigators believed the boy and his dad may have been headed toward Ohio or West Virginia.

During the search, authorities said the boy's father was facing charges of parental abduction & felony cruelty to a child.
