NFL player Titus Young managed to get himself arrested twice in 15 hours.
Police in Southern California arrested Young, 23, on the suspicion of driving under the influence. The arrest came just after midnight on Sunday after police stopped Young for making an illegal left turn, according to the Detroit Free Press. He was subsequently arrested for drunk driving.
Young was arrested again later that afternoon for attempted burglary. Police allege that at 2:22 p.m. Young tried to steal his own car, which had been impounded upon his first arrest, out of a California tow yard.
The DUI charge is a misdemeanor and Young was released after signing an agreement to appear in court, but it's unclear if he remains in police custody on the felony burglary charge, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
Young has made headlines before because of off-field issues.
The Detroit Lions sent Young home three different times for insubordination since drafting him in 2011. His litany of behavioral issues include sucker-punching teammate Louis Delmas at practice in 2012, lining up in the wrong spot during a game to protest his lack of playing time, and even publicly claiming to be a better receiver than his teammate Calvin Johnson.
Young's off-field behavior overshadowed his potential as a receiver. The Lions released him in February. The St. Louis Rams claimed him off waivers shortly after, but ultimately released the troubled receiver 10 days later.
Young has 81 receptions, 990 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his two-year career. He's currently free agent.
