L’Wren Scott’s Funeral Changed from New York to Los Angeles at the Request of Grief Stricken Mick Jagger

L'Wren Scott's funeral will be held in Los Angeles instead of in New York where she lived. According to the New York Post, the decision was made by Scott's brother Randall Bambrough and her long-time lover Mick Jagger.

Jagger, who was on tour with the Rolling Stones at the time of her death, is currently in L.A. being comforted by his five children. The 70-year-old rocker recently flew back to the United States from Australia, where his band was playing, once he received the tragic news that Scott had took her own life.

On Monday, Mar. 17 the 47-year-old was found hanging in her Manhattan apartment. A coroner ruled the death as suicide. According to reports, Scott did not leave a note but many people have speculated that her struggling business could have contributed to her stress.

The Post reports that Scott was planning on publicly announcing her business's financial problems this week. It was also speculated that her relationship with Jagger was on the rocks.

According to the Post, Scott's body is still at a New York funeral home and will be flown to L.A. soon.

"Scott's body has been at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Manhattan's Upper East Side since Wednesday, when the Medical Examiner's office released it after confirming her death was a suicide," Page Six wrote.

Her brother had the difficult task of identifying the body. There seems to be some family drama surrounding the funeral. A source told the Post that Scott's sister, Jan Shane, has been banned from attending the funeral after the two had a falling out six years ago, after the death of their mother.

Following the announcement of Scott's death, Jagger's bandmates cancelled the rest of their Australia tour and flew back to the United States.

"[Mick's] holding up. He's ok," bandmate Charlie Watts told the Daily Mail, adding "He's not really well. He's not really here. It was such a shock."
