In the latest "Game of Thrones" trailer, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) narrates as he realizes everything has changed within the past year. In the wake of the Red Wedding, Robb Stark and his wife Talisa Maegyr were brutally murdered in front of his mother Catelyn Stark, who suffers the same bloody fate as her son.

Sansa Stark is now married to Tyrion Lannister, while Arya Stark is struggling to gain her composure as she mourns the loss of half her family. Jon Snow has returned to the Night's Watch after betraying Ygritte in order to honor his duty. Bran Stark has found out he is a Warg with the ability to have prophetic visions, which he believes are leading him to north of The Wall.

Cersei Lannister struggles to maintain control of her son Joffery Baratheon, who is wildly attracted to the charming Margaery Tyrell. Jamie Lannister has returned to King's Landing after being held captive for a year and losing his hand. Daenerys Targaryen's army grows stronger with her three dragons by her side.

Stannis Baratheon attempts to rebuild his army after an unexpected defeat at the battle of King's Landing leaves him begging the Malisandre (the Red Witch) to help him take over the Iron Throne. Gendry (King Robert Baratheon's bastard child) has escaped the hold of Malisandre, aware of his true paternity and knowing his life is in danger.

Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish is up to no good and Lord Varys is doing everything he can to stop his scheming plots from coming through, including keeping Sansa from running away with him to see her family.

Meanwhile, an army of Whitewalkers roam the North and the show runners have promised season four will be the most action-filled of the series yet.
