Oklahoma City (52-18) sits with the second best record in the Western Conference, two games behind the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder have won four straight games since their 109-86 loss on March 16 to Dallas.
The Thunder's latest victory, a 117-96 rout on Monday of Denver, saw newcomer Caron Butler score 23 points off the bench.
"You have a system that's functioning," Butler said, according to ESPN. "The only thing guys got to do is plug into that system and play a certain style and way and give a certain type of effort, and things just continue to move forward."
Dallas (42-29) is battling to stay in contention for a lower-seed playoff spot. Phoenix currently holds the tiebreaker over Dallas for the eighth playoff berth, and Dallas is only two games behind Golden State for the sixth spot.
The Mavericks, though, have dropped two of their last three games, including a 107-104 loss on Sunday to Brooklyn.
"This is not the time to panic," Mavericks guard Monta Ellis said. "We still have four more home games. We are going to try to get these fours."
