Star Wars Episode 7" alleged lead male prospect John Boyega is reportedly up for a role in the upcoming "Terminator: Genesis" film.
Borys Kit, film writer for The Hollywood Reporter, wrote on his Twitter account sources revealed Boyega is wanted to for a role in both films.
"Tidbit: John Boyega (Attack the Block) tested for #StarWars but he is also wanted for #Terminator : Genesis. The role: son of Miles Dyson," Kite tweeted.
"Terminator: Genesis" will star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke. The film is set to hit theaters on July 1st, 2015.
Variety reported in March sources close to the "Star Wars Episode 7" production claim there are five actors in the running for the male lead for the upcoming film. The actors whom have tested for the role are "Downton Abbey" Ed Speleers, "Attack the Block" star John Boyega, "Breaking Bad" star Jesse Plemons, and newcomers Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher.
However, the "Star Wars" production hasn't confirmed any casting news, but did announced filming will begin in May in Pinewood studios with some "familiar" faces coming on set.
"Disney and Lucasfilm are excited to announce that principal photography on Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams, will commence May 2014, and will be based at London's historic Pinewood Studios," the "Star Wars" production said in a news release. "This will be the first Star Wars film to start shooting in the month of May. Lucasfilm has documented the first day of principal photography for every installment of the Star Wars saga."
Zac Efron, Lupita Nyong'o, Gary Oldman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Adam Driver and Jesse Plemmons are a few actors with rumored connections to film, but haven't confirmed they've signed on to roles.
"Star Wars: Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
