Former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will hold his pro day workout on Thursday at Kyle Field. Find out what coaches are looking for from the 2012 Heisman winner during his pro day and watch the live stream via the link provided below.
Manziel's draft stock has seemingly fallen since the NFL combine. While he's still considered one of the three best signal callers in the draft, most mock drafts list Manziel as a mid-to-late top 10 pick.
The Houston Texans own the first pick of the draft. First-year coach Bill O'Brien acknowledged Manziel's height isn't as much of a concern as the quarterback's physical abilities are.
"We want a guy that is accountable, good character guy, pocket passer, good decision maker, good teammate, coachable, smart, tough physically and mentally," O'Brien said, via USA Today Sports. "Whether he's 6-5 or 5-10, does he have these things and like I said, smart? Is he going to be able to process what we do? In this league, you have to be able to throw the ball accurately, so that's a big, big deal."
The Minnesota Vikings, who have the No. 8 pick, will not only be watching Manziel's mechanics.
"I want to talk to the custodian. I want to talk to his teammates. I want to talk to his landlord. I want to find out those things," Vikings first-year coach Mike Zimmer said. "We'll know what kind of football player he is by the end of the day and how he does with all that other stuff, but it's all the other intangible stuff."
ESPN's Todd McShay projected Manziel to go No. 4 to the Cleveland Browns, whose general manager announced earlier this week he wouldn't be attending Manziel's pro day.
