Zac Efron: Friends ‘Worried Sick’ Actor is Doing Drugs after Skid Row Fight with Homeless Man?

Zac Efron's friends believe the actor is in serious need of help and are reportedly worried that he's fallen off the bandwagon again. Efron was recently involved a fight with a homeless man in a sketchy part of downtown Los Angeles, known as Skid Row.

According to reports, the actor claims he and his bodyguard ran out of gas around midnight when they were attacked by the transients. However, TMZ reports that Efron's friends believe he was in downtown L.A. to possibly buy drugs. The 26-year-old was allegedly in rehab twice last year for a cocaine addiction.

"They say there's no doubt he's fallen off the wagon again," TMZ writes.

"Zac's a loner. He goes out rarely and the idea if him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous," the source said.

Reportedly the star's friends also said the "bodyguard" that was with Efron is not really a bodyguard. According to TMZ, the man is a convicted drug dealer.

On Sunday, Mar. 23 cops were on patrol under the Harbor Freeway when they saw the "That Awkward Moment" actor and another man fighting with at least three other homeless men. The cops broke up the fight and said Efron gave them the story about running out of gas in the middle of the night, TMZ reports.

He explained how he and his bodyguard were waiting for a tow truck and threw a bottle out the window. The bottle landed next to the transients who got angry because they believed Efron and his bodyguard purposefully tossed the bottle at them. That's when the fight started.

According to TMZ, Efron said he got out the car to help his bodyguard when one of the homeless guys sucker punched him in the mouth.

"It was the hardest I've ever been hit in my life," the cop said Efron reportedly told him.
