The Kentucky Wildcats play the Louisville Cardinals on Friday in the 2014 NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 round. Tipoff is at 9:45 p.m. ET. Watch the free live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Eighth-seeded Kentucky is getting hot when it matters the most. The Wildcats defeated Kansas State in the second round and handed Wichita State their first loss of the season in the third round. The play of freshmen Aaron Harrison and Julius Randle have been big over the past two games and will likely improve their NBA draft stock if they choose to declare.
Harrison averaged 18.5 points and Randle averaged 12.5 rebounds over the first two games of the tournament, which included a 56-49 win over Kansas State and a 78-76 win over Wichita State.
With a chance now to reach the Elite 8, Kentucky coach John Calipari doesn't want his inexperienced team to get lost in the moment -- something he admitted is easier said than done.
"People grieve for a year after the game. People celebrate for a year after the game," Calipari told the Associated Press. "I've tried to not make it bigger than it is. But it doesn't work."
Fourth-seeded Louisville, meanwhile, earned a spot in the Sweet 16 after defeating Manhattan and Saint Louis. The Cardinals' 66-51 win over Saint Louis in the third round made a statement, something which Louisville hopes to make again on Friday.
Louisville has the advantage in terms of experience -- seven players returned from last year's championship team -- but coach Rick Pitino isn't underestimating Kentucky's youth.
"I know everyone wants to talk about experience," Pitino said. "But they've got six, seven, eight, nine, 10 guys that are going to play real hard. We have the same. It's not going to be too big an advantage either way."
