MH370 Conspiracy: Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Rep. Mike Rogers Claim No Terrorism Involved

Despite mass speculation of terrorism and hijacking theories involving the disappearance of MH 370, the heads of the House and Senate intelligence committees said on Sunday that there isn't any indication of terrorist activity, POLITICO reported.

"So far, there's been none," Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) told CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union." "There's speculation, but there's nothing."

"This is a very difficult mission," she added. "The fact that so many nations are participating ... it also indicates that there is no method of calculation that's functioning."

When asked if more satellites could be helpful in the search for the plane -- which has been missing for three weeks -- the senator said she was unsure.

"I'm not going to go in to what we do have or what we don't have," she responded. "You have to understand that American intelligence doesn't gear itself to be ready for plane crashes."

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, shared the same idea on "Fox News Sunday."

Rogers said "nothing yet that has come out of the investigation that would lead me to conclude that there was anything other than a normal flight that something happened, that something went wrong."

"We're just going to have to be patient as this thing unfolds," he said, discussing the long process investigators are going through to determine if anyone on the flight may have been connected to the disapperance.

Last week, families of the plane's 239 passengers were alerted via text message that authorities concluded the flight crashed somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
