Razor Blades Found Taped To Philadelphia Playground Equipment

Residents in a suburban Philadelphia community discovered razor blades taped onto a nearby playground on Tuesday, NBC News reported.

"I can't believe anyone would do that, that's disgusting," one woman told NBC Philadelphia.

The frightening find was made at Eaton Park in Brookhaven.

"It's just absurd," said Joe Lombardo, who has a 3-year-old son. "I can't believe someone could do something like that. I'd definitely kill somebody over that. If my son got hurt, it would be a great thing for the cops to find them, let's put it that way."

According to NBC, Brookhaven Police said they successfully removed the blades and have not found any more in nearby parks. However, officers will continue to search for suspicious activity.

"I do see a group of kids who are up here all the time," said Bob Kilman, who lives close to the park. "I know they're up to no good and I always tell them to get out of here."

The incident comes nearly one week after an toddler was injured after touching razor blades glued to a park in Illinois.

According to East Moline Police, the two-year-old boy was with his father when he was hurt at Millennium Park. He suffered a minor cut and was treated for it at home.

During their investigation, authorities found a dozen blades glued throughout the park but have not found them in any other ones. East Moline Police Lt. Brian Foltz told local media that officers are unsure of how long the blades have been around.
