Rangana Herath won the Man of the Match award for his performance, which included taking a game-high five wickets. Sri Lanka's batsmen produced behind Mahela Jayawardene's team-high 25 runs and Lahiru Thirimanne's 20 runs.
West Indies placed second in Group 2 with a 3-1 record, two points behind undefeated India. West Indies' only loss came in their Super Ten opener against India, who won by seven wickets. The club is coming off a six-wicket win against Australia; skipper Darren Sammy earned the Man of the Match award, which included a 34- run (not out) performance.
