A shelter in place was issued at the University of Connecticut on Thursday after officials received a bomb threat, CTPost.com reported.
Multiple notifications were uploaded to the university website.
"Update: At 9:50am, all faculty, staff and students who are travelling to Storrs campus or plan to travel to campus, are advised to stay off campus at this time until further direction is provided," the most recent post said.
Around 9:30 a.m., the threat was issued to the Tasker Building on Storrs Campus.
"If you are in or near this building, evacuate now," the alert said. "All other locations on campus, shelter in place. Do not make independent decision to evacuate. Check back with alert.uconn.edu for updates and additional instructions."
The university also used their Twitter account to notify students and faculty.
"Shelter in place means to take immediate shelter where you are-in your dorm room, current classroom, etc. - until further notice," the tweet read.
The investigation into the threat is ongoing; check back for updates.
