Washington Nationals Vs. New York Mets Live Radio Broadcast: Baseball 2014

The Washington Nationals play the New York Mets on Thursday. The game starts at 1:10 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

After a comeback in Game 1, the Nationals dismantled the Mets in Game 2 on Wednesday with a 5-1 win.

Washington can sweep the series with another win. Nationals pitcher Tanner Roark is set to make his first start of the season after flu-like symptoms made Jordan Zimmermann a late scratch. Tanner finished his rookie season in 2013 with a 7-1 record and 1.51 ERA in five starts.

The Nationals will also be without catcher Wilson Ramos, who is expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken hand. Ramos felt pain in his hand while at-bat in Monday's game, and he was eventually taken out in the seventh inning. Doctors later diagnosed him with a broken hamate bone in his left hand, according to ESPN, and he underwent surgery on Wednesday.

"We don't know whether it started out as a stress fracture or what," Nationals manager Matt Williams said, via ESPN. "It's rough to go through something like that, but what can you do now except rehab? He's focused on that."

Mets pitcher Zach Wheeler is slated to oppose Roark. Wheeler finished last season as a rookie with a 7-5 record and 3.42 ERA. With an injury-depleted pitching rotation, the Mets will expect more from the second-year pro.

"He's got to realize how good he can be," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "There's going to be times, as we talked about last year, where he can just take over a game. And he knows that."
