Bail Set At $2 Million For Ohio Man, Antonio J. Filmore, Accused Of Teen Rape

A man in Ohio accused of raping a 13-year-old girl had bail set at $2 million on Friday, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Antonio J. Filmore, 36, is facing two counts of rape after allegedly attacking the teen behind a vacant house on Tuesday.

According to a criminal complaint, he approached the girl as she was waiting for the school bus and asked for directions around 6:30 a.m. He then walked by a second time, asking her if she had a phone.

Filmore grabbed the girl from behind, forced her to the house, hit her in the face, and raped her, the complaint says. After he fled the scene, the girl ran to a nearby school for help and was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

A DNA match led to Filmore's arrest on Thursday. Police in Columbus arrested him at his home in South Linden and placed him in a Franklin County jail.

LuAnn Stoia, a reporter for ABC6/FOX28, spoke with a man at the home in South Liden who identified himself as Filmore's stepfather. He told Stoia that police need to put Filmore in prison.

According to the Dispatch, Filmore was sentenced to three years in prison for assault in 1998 and six months for drug trafficking in 2006.

In New York, a gym trainer was acquitted of all rape charges on Thursday stemming from allegations four years ago.

Alexandru Hossu, 36, was accused twice of raping a 13-year-old girl at her Brewster, New York home in 2010. He is the former live-in trainer of Putnam County District Attorney Adam Levy and was the girl's mother's boyfriend at the time.

Hossu was facing two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree rape, and endangering the welfare of a child.
