3-Year-Old Texas Girl Banned From Day Care After Saying 'S-Word'

A 3-year-old girl in Texas was banned from a day care center for saying the "s-word," the New York Daily News reported.

Cassandra Wright told local media that her daughter, Arianna, was expelled from the Jubilee Child Development Center in San Antonio for saying the curse word.

"I don't condone her saying it, but for that to be a faith-based day care, I would think that they would reinforce and let her know that's not a word to say," Wright said.

She also said she doesn't know where her daughter learned the word and doesn't believe she knows what it means.

"I asked her what word did you say and she told me 'animal,'" Wright said. "I'm still a little bit upset, but most of all was hurt, I was devastated really hurt."

However, Alissa Blankenship -- director of the day care center -- said they have a zero tolerance policy for the words because they spread easily. She also does not believe it was an isolated incident.

Blankenship added the center has the right to dismiss any child from their programs and claimed Arianna laughed after saying the word.

"Well as a private center and also a parent myself you know there's decisions and choices that have to make," the day care director said, adding Arianna is not the first child to be expelled for saying a curse word.
