The "Game of Thrones" season four premiere will a little too daunting for the HBO Go servers, leaving users outraged after they couldn't stream the latest episode.
CNN reports the cable network's mobile streaming app crashed due to a high volume of users during the premiere.
"HBO Go did experience issues due to overwhelming demand around the premiere of Game of Thrones," the network said in a statement to CNN.
Many disgruntled "Game of Thrones" fans took to Twitter to express their disappoint. However, HBO was able to fix the technical issue by 1 a.m. ET on Monday.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting for the season four premiere, which showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have been promoting since the beginning of this year. The "Game of Thrones" show duo explained to Entertainment Weekly in March the fourth season is the series' midway point and they don't expect the show to run on for more than eight seasons.
"It feels like this is the midpoint for us," Benioff said. "If we're going to go seven seasons, which is the plan, season 4 is right down the middle, the pivot point."
"I would say it's the goal we've had from the beginning," he added. "It was our unstated goal, because to start on a show and say your goal is seven seasons is the height of lunacy. Once we got to the point where we felt like we're going to be able to tell this tale to its conclusion, that became [an even clearer] goal. Seven gods, seven kingdoms, seven seasons. It feels right to us."
