Oakland Athletics Vs. Minnesota Twins Live Radio Broadcast: MLB 2014

The Oakland Athletics play the Minnesota Twins on Monday. The game begins at 4:10 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

Minnesota (3-3) opens at home on Monday against Oakland. After losing their first series of the season against the Chicago White Sox, the Twins responded with a 2-1 series victory against the Cleveland Indians.

A big part of the Twins' three wins so far is because of first baseman Chris Colabello, who's started the season hot after making his MLB debut last May. Colabello is batting .391 and already has 11 RBIs to go along with one homer on nine hits.

"It's awesome," Colabello told the Associated Press. "Every day I get to spend in the big leagues is awesome, regardless of how many hits I get or production. Obviously, it's nice to help the team and contribute. It's been exciting. It's fun to wake up every morning and do my job."

Kevin Correia (0-0, 3.00 ERA) will start in the home opener. The right-hander fanned five White Sox batters on Wednesday, although the Twins were unable to come away with the win.

Athletics pitcher Scott Kazmir (1-0, 0.00) is scheduled to oppose Correia. He gave up only three hits while striking out five of Cleveland's batters on Wednesday.

As for holding your home opener in the second week of baseball, Twins president Dave St. Peter found one advantage: warmer weather.

"That extra week is appreciated by everybody," St. Peter said. "I'm not sure we can count on that every year. We've opened on the road for four of the first five years at Target Field and I'll probably take that percentage if we can maintain that going forward."
