"Glee" star Naya Rivera and rapper Big Sean have called off their wedding after six months of being engaged.
Rivera, 27, and Sean, 26, were together for five months before the rapper decided to propose to the actress. After six months of their engagement, Big Sean made the decision to call off the wedding. The rapper released the following statement to PerezHilton.com:
"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."
The accusations Sean might be referring to are ones claiming he cheated on Rivera. However, Hollywood Life reports the real reason behind the break up was Rivera's jealousy, which caused a major rift in their relationship. An insider close to the couple told the gossip site Big Sean tried to deal with her insecurities, but couldn't handle them in the end.
"She got jealous so fast that it threw Big Sean off guard," the source told Hollywood Life. "He tried to adapt to it and fix it because he was in love with her but it just got to be way too much and it was just one thing after another."
"Sean also felt that she was controlling and he didn't like that," the source added. "He thought they should have had a more even and relaxed relationship, which happened at first but it definitely took a turn for the worse fast."
The break up doesn't seem amicable on Rivera's part as the actress posted a tweet on her official Twitter account accusing Sean of stealing Rolexes. The post has since been taken down, but you can check it out for yourself here.
