Ubisoft recently announced the next "Assassin's Creed" game in the series, but the gaming studio has remained quiet about any additional details. However, new details have surfaced online about the mechanics of the game and possible character appearances.
A video posted by Jesse La Flair relating of a horizontal wall running tutorial has caught the attention of "Assassin's Creed" fans. In the Youtube comments section, La Flair wrote the following comment:
"What if I told you I may or may not have worked on the NEXT AC and they may or may not have added the ability to Horizontal Wall Run in the game..."
As Assassins, you can scale buildings and make a "leap of faith" into a haystack, but gamers have yet to experience a horizontal wall run. Ubisoft hasn't confirmed any new mechanics for the "Assassin's Creed: Unity" or the rumored "Assassin's Creed: Comet."
The next Internet speculation comes from an "Assassin's Creed" Reddit post. A Reddit user claims the appearance of famous French revolutionary Nicholas Flamel. The user's theory is based on a "mysterious" book, "The Book of Abramelin the Mage," which has reportedly already made an appearance in the series.
"So, one thing that caught my attention about the choice of Paris, or at least France, is some of the historical figures there," the Reddit user wrote. "No, i am not talking about famous revolutionaries, I am talking about the legendary Nicholas Flamel. For those that don't know Nicholas' story, Nicholas lived in Paris during the 14th and 15th centuries. He is said to be a legendary alchemist who found the secrets to turn base metals to gold and created the philosophers stone to achieve immortality with his wife."
"This itself is interesting, however he is also said to have come into possession of a mysterious 21 page book," the user continued. "Upon finding someone to translate the book for him, it was discovered that it was a copy of the "Book of Abramelin the Mage". He decode only a few pages which led him to the Philosophers stone and turning metals into gold. The "Book of Abramelin the Mage" already exists in the Assassins universe, so maybe this could be relevant in Unity. At least that's my two cents."
The "Assassin's Creed" series isn't a stranger to featuring historical figures. Leonardo Da Vinci, Blackbeard, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, Cleopatra and Daniel Boone are just a few famous names that have made their way into the game.
