Johnny Manziel's reported score on the Wonderlic Test was the highest of any quarterback in the 2014 NFL draft class. His score of 32 is also high among active NFL quarterbacks, putting him in the elite company of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning.
Manziel scored a 32 on the Wonderlic Test, according to both Sports Illustrated and NFL.com's Albert Breer. His score was also reportedly the highest of the top quarterbacks in the 2014 draft class.
"I've been told Johnny Football had the highest wonderlic test of all the top QB's (sic) in this years draft," John Middlekauff, a former NFL scout and current 95.7 radio host, tweeted on Thursday. "Talked to multiple assistant coaches who have had Johnny on private team visits. All raved about his intelligence.
"The avg wonderlic score for a starting QB in '12 was 29, anything above 30 is outstanding. Johnny scored above both numbers."
Even more impressive, Manziel's score ranks amongst some of the top quarterbacks in the league:
-Andrew Luck (IND) - 37
-Aaron Rodgers (GB) - 35
-Tom Brady (NE) - 33
-Peyton Manning (DEN) - 28
The Wonderlic Test is an intelligence test administered to players who declare for the NFL draft and has a maximum score of 50. The test, however, isn't a guaranteed indicator of how well a player will perform in the pros.
For example, Dan Marino scored a 15 on the test but went on to the Hall of Fame and Ryan Leaf scored a 27 and went on to become one of the biggest busts in NFL history.
