Popular mobile tipster @evleaks leaked new info on the HTC One M8 that it says will come in a red shade and exclusively for Verizon customers.
HTC, is reportedly expanding its premium handset line with a traditional red variant for the One M8. A tweet by the popular mobile tipster @evleaks said that HTC's flagship One M8 is coming to Verizon in a new "glamour red" version in the coming days. This is an expansion of HTC's current offerings, which comes in gunmetal grey, glacial silver and amber gold.
The latest leak from @evleaks is a bit unusual as it does not carry an accompanying photo to show how the One M8 looks in red. But that is not a complete surprise as HTC previously launched a similar Glamour Red version for its earlier HTC One (M7), but only for Sprint customers. It is likely that the HTC One M8 will carry a similar shade like its predecessor.

HTC announced the all-new One at a press event in New York, last month. The smartphone features a 5-inch Full HD display, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera with dual flash and optional 16GB or 32GB built-in storage. The One M8 also sports the company's latest Sense 6 UI based on Google's Android 4.4 KitKat platform. It boasts a 2,600mAh battery to offer 20 hours of 3G talk time on a single charge.
The latest news of a red HTC One M8 for Verizon could mean the company has other surprises lined up for T-Mobile and AT&T, which haven't received any special versions of the flagship smartphones, The Droid Guy reports.
As there is no leaked image with the news, it is likely that @evleaks will post a picture of the rumored red One M8 in a few days, before the official launch of the handset.
