Kenya Moore has been very vocal about wanting to become a mother. She brought the subject up quite a bit on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and often said she would have a baby with or without a man.
Well, Moore is finally ready to start working on her family. According to reports, at the end of the "RHOA" Season 6 finale Bravo revealed that the former beauty queen and her "African Prince" boyfriend made plans to try and have a baby the "old fashioned way."
If that doesn't work, then the 43-year-old reality TV star will undergo in vitro fertilization in June. The baby news comes shortly after the death of her pet dog, Velvet.
On the season finale, viewers saw Moore say her final goodbyes to the puppy who died after being attacked by a neighbor's dog. The loss of her dog was hard for Moore but her Aunt Lori tried to help the former pageant winner look at it in a more positive light.
"Maybe she's making room for someone else in your life," Lori said about Velvet. "Do you believe you can have a child?... That may be one of the reasons why God called her away - so you can give this new child the undivided attention and your unconditional love."
In her Bravo blog, Moore didn't mention that she was trying to start a family but told fans that she was still having a very difficult time getting over Velvet's death.
"Perhaps for the first time in my life I'm at a loss for words," Moore wrote on her blog. "It's very difficult for me to come to terms with the puppy love of my life not being here on my lap and by my side or her in her little purse that she made her home."
