Aaron Hernandez is reportedly being investigated for allegedly threatening to murder a correctional officer. The alleged murder threat came after the guard stopped Hernandez from getting extra food, TMZ reports.
Hernandez's alleged threat included to shoot and kill the Bristol County Jail guard and his family, according to published on Tuesday. A fellow inmate, however, vehemently denied to investigators that Hernandez ever threatened the guard.
Per TMZ:
"Among the questions investigators asked the ex-inmate -- did Aaron ever say anything to the effect of ... when he gets out of jail, he's going to 'kill the guard and shoot his family.'
"They also want to know if Aaron ever made a noise like a 'machine gun run' to the guard.
"The ex-inmate was adamant Hernandez NEVER threatened the guard ... though he did claim Aaron called the guy a 'bitch' during the heated exchange."
The exchange resulted in a write up and the current investigation. The alleged altercation occurred after the guard stopped an alleged "scheme" by Hernandez to get more food.
"The ex-inmate told investigators Aaron was noticeably losing weight in jail and would run various schemes to get extra food ... like putting an insect on a half-eaten meal and then complain to officials so he could get a fresh serving," TMZ wrote. "But the ex-inmate claimed Aaron pulled his schemes 'one too many times' which pissed off the officers ... who put an end to the extra food."
Hernandez is currently being held without bail while awaiting trial for the first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd. The ex-NFL star, 24, pleaded not guilty.
Two of Hernandez's associates, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, were also separately indicted for the first-degree murder of Lloyd. The Falls River grand jury handed down the indictments on Friday.
Dates for their arraignments have not yet been announced.
