Cleveland Indians Vs. Detroit Tigers Live Radio Broadcast: Verlander Opposes Salazar (AUDIO)

The Cleveland Indians play the Detroit Tigers on Thrusday in Game 3 of their series. The game starts at 1:08 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

Cleveland has a 1-0 lead in the series after beating Detroit on Wednesday, 3-2. The Indians (7-7) took the lead for good in the second inning after a triple from Yan Gomes, which netted him two RBIs. Starting pitcher Zach McAllister also played well, limiting Detroit to just one run on four hits.

"He used his fastball well early in the game," Cleveland manager Terry Francona said of McAllister, via the Associated Press. "It was a great effort. He kept us off the field."

Danny Salazar (0-1, 6.75 ERA) will take the mound on Thursday and try to follow McAllister's performance. He's coming off a 7-3 loss on Friday against the Chicago White Sox. Despite fanning 10 batters, Salazar gave up five runs in 3 2/3 innings.

"I'd rather see it over seven innings," Francona said. "Again, the stuff is there. He is young. He is still learning how to pitch. We love him to death, but there is still some learning to do."

Opposing Salazar will be Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA this season, and he's coming off a 6-2 win against San Diego, whom he limited to just two runs on eight hits.

"He knows how to pace himself," Tigers catcher Alex Avila said. "He knows how to pitch. If you can make two, three, maybe four quality pitches early in the at-bat, you can get a quick out."
