Bangalore opened their season with an eight-wicket win against Delhi. Yuzvendra Chahal won the Man of the Match award and was one of four bowlers to take a wicket. Yuvraj Singh and skipper Virat Kohli led the team with 52 runs and 49 runs, respectively.
More importantly, the win showed Bangalore's new roster has gelled together well.
"It is a new phase for RCB, there are only few players from last year who are in the team and there are a lot of new players," Kohli said before their season opener, via IB Times. "The guys have gelled pretty quickly and it is a relaxed environment.
"I am really excited to have all these new faces in the team and looking forward to this season. I have a strong feeling that we are going to do well in this season and I hope we go a few steps further and do well in the competition."
Mumbai, though, lost their opener against Kolkata by 41 runs. The Kolkata bowlers, led by Sunil Narine's four wickets, restricted Mumbai's batsmen -- Ambati Rayudu scored a team-high 48 runs for Mumbai.
The match will take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Weather.com forecasts a mostly sunny day with temperatures reaching as high as 96 degrees Fahrenheit; there's no chance of rain and winds could range between 10 to 20 mph.
