The Season finale of "Scandal" was intense and ended with several different cliffhangers. On the Apr. 17 episode, viewers watched as twist after twist unfolded on the screen.
WARNING: Spoilers for the Season finale below.
A quick recap: Mellie and President Grant were dealt a horrifying blow when their son, Jerry, was murdered. It was later revealed that Olivia's father, Rowan, was behind Jerry's death. Olivia told Grant that his father had raped Mellie and there was a possibility that Jerry wasn't his son.
Sally might be ahead in the presidential race after using the bombing to her advantage. Olivia decided (but didn't look so sure) that she was going to quit Pope & Associates. Quinn and Huck were caught getting hot-and-heavy in the office and the episode ended with Harrison in B613 with a gun to his head.
Phew, so much went down during that hour and fans are probably eager to see what's going to happen next season. One burning question is will Harrison (played by Columbus Short) return for the upcoming season?
The last time the show ended with a gun pointed at someone's head, the character died (R.I.P. James), but that doesn't necessarily mean Harrison's character will be the next one to get chopped. However, because of all the negative publicity the actor's been getting after being accused of attacking his wife, there's a lot of speculation that show creator Shonda Rhimes might have Harrison killed.
Following the season finale, Rhimes appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel" to discuss what's next for the series. Kimmel asked Rhimes whether fans will see Harrison next season.
"You know I can't tell you whether or not he's dead," she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rhimes explained how it's always difficult to kill off a character, especially if they've been on the show for a long time.
"That call is always the worst call to make. I do it myself," Rhimes said. "You really have to have the topic sentence ready. The first you have to say is you're going to die and here's how and I love you."
TMZ caught up with Short and asked him about his character but of course, the actor didn't have much to say.
"I believe I'm going to be on the new season. And everything's going great. God is good every day. I'm rocking," he said. "I don't know what all the noise is about."
Do you think Harrison should stay or go after Columbus Short was accused of attacking his wife?
