Reese Witherspoon could be regaining her angelic image by returning to her blonde roots.
The Oscar-winning actress, who has been the subject of recent media snark over going to the "dark side" in light of her April arrest over an encounter with Atlanta police, unveiled new blond locks Saturday.
She debuted the new do tightly stuffed under a straw fedora at son Deacon's soccer game, according to The Daily Mail.
Making headlines for her arrest following husband James Toth's stop on suspicion of DUI, Reese gained a bad-girl image very quickly. It was only convenient that her out-of-character brown hair would somehow be tied to her deviant actions, for which she reportedly paid a $213 fine.
Video surfaced online of the arrest, showing Witherspoon's disagreement with the officer who administered the DUI test to her husband. But after the shock of seeing one of America's sweethearts in a compromised position with the law subsided, she set things straight with a sincere statement.
The "Walk the Line" actress publicly apologized on "Good Morning America", saying there was no excuse for her and her husband's actions the evening that resulted in Witherspoon being handcuffed and later detained at a police station.
"We went out to dinner in Atlanta, had one too many glasses of wine," said on the show. "We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not. And it's just completely unacceptable. And we are so sorry and embarrassed. And we know better."
Witherspoon is currently taking a break from filming her latest movie "The Good Lie" in Atlanta, the same city where she was arrested, The Daily Mail reports. "The Legally Blonde" star has been reportedly scoping out property in Los Angeles
