Ohio Police are asking for help in searching for a woman who robbed a baby's grave last Saturday, the New York Daily News reported.
The theft, captured by a surveillance camera, occurred at a cemetery in Ontario in broad daylight. An unidentified woman wearing what appears to be sunglasses is seen taking a yellow, toy duck placed on top of the grave site of a 14-month-old boy who died in 2007.
The video was posted on the Ontario Police Department's Facebook page in the hopes of finding someone who can help identify the alleged grave robber.
The suspect took the duck from the grave of Hayden "Tank" Cole Sheridan less than five hours after it was first placed there, police said. It was an Easter present from the toddler's family.
Police said the family told them Sheridan's grave has been robbed many times before.
"The family want's the person who did this to be held accountable however they recognize that this person is probably not responsible for all the thefts from "Tanks" gravesite," police wrote in the Facebook post.
The family has left flowers, solar night lights and other toys for "Tank." But the items kept disappearing. A surveillance camera was installed at the boy's grave after the family reached out to the police.
"We set up a camera to catch the thieves and we watched as items disappeared but never got an image that was good enough to identify the suspect," police said.
"The family just wants some assurance that they can leave a night light and a stuffed animal at their son's grave without someone stealing it."
The post has been shared over 4,000 times as of Thursday.
"When they catch her, they should make it public to show everyone what a lowlife piece of crap she really is!!!," Virgil Blevins wrote in a comment on the Facebook page, one of hundreds. "Praying for the family of this little boy."
