Los Angeles evened the series on Monday with a 138-98 blowout win over Golden State. The Clippers' defense showed up in the second game to limit the Warriors' explosive offense and force 26 turnovers.
"We realized that if we played our game and do the things that we worked on we'd be successful," Clippers star Blake Griffin told the Associated Press. "We play well when we're just playing free, so we're just going to try and achieve that."
The series now shifts to Golden State, where Los Angeles has never played in the postseason.
"It's going to be loud. It's going to be exciting. I think every basketball player loves playing in an environment like that," said Griffin, who scored 35 points in Game 2. "We've played in places that are pretty loud before, especially in the playoffs. I've heard good things about the crowd and we're looking forward to it."
The Warriors hope to bounce back from their poor performance in Game 2 and open the postseason at home with a win. Although Warriors star Stephen Curry managed 24 points on Monday, frontcourt teammate Klay Thompson was limited to just seven points.
"We're not going to quit. We're not going to just lie down and allow a team to do what they want against us," Curry said. "We're going to be physical, come back and it's about that competitive fire for Game 3 that we're going to need to get it done to protect our home court."
