Amanda Bynes is driving down the right road, now that she's gotten her driver's license back.
After two hit-and-run charges and a DUI arrest in 2012, the 28-year-old actress was spotted driving a black BMW with her father Rick in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to New York Daily News. Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records confirmed that Bynes' suspension had been lifted and the actress was re-issued her driver's license.
In September 2012, the "Hairspray" actress was ordered by a judge to hand over her car keys, but the actress continued driving despite the ban. She received a plea deal in her DUI cases after her lawyer managed to get the charges from her 2012 arrest dropped.
Although she escaped jail time, Bynes, who chucked a bong out the window of her apartment in New York City last May, was placed on three years probation and ordered to attend three months of alcohol education classes.
According to different sources, Bynes appears to be much healthier and happier, following months of erratic behavior, which ended after Bynes set a fire in a neighbor's driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif. In December, Bynes was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold.
Now, the "Easy A" actress is reportedly getting her life back on track. Bynes is currently under the care of her parents and has enrolled herself at the Fashion Institute in Orange County outside Los Angeles.
People reported that Bynes will reportedly remain under her mother's legal control until at least September. Bynes' lawyer, Tamar Arminak, said the actress is "devoted to living her life as healthy as possible" and is no longer taking any medication. Arminak also shot down rumors claiming her client suffers from the mental disorder schizophrenia.
"Amanda continues to undergo outpatient therapy several times a week," Arminak said. "Amanda currently is on zero medication. She's never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she's proud to say she's been marijuana free for the past nine months. (She) is doing extremely well."
"There has been much speculation about Amanda's medical condition. She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health diagnosis private," Arminak added.
