The casting buzz for "Star Wars Episode 7" production has hit the Internet with full force on the heels of a rumored big announcement coming on May 4.
Deadline reports director J.J. Abrams has scheduled a table read for the film's script on Tuesday including all of the "Star Wars Episode 7" actors. The production has not confirmed are casting news, but filming will reportedly start in May. According to multiple reports, Abrams has been on a rumored search for unknown actors to take on the lead roles in his film.
However, rumor has it "Girls" star Adam Driver, "Attack the Block" actor John Boyega, "Inside Llewyn Davis" star Oscar Isaac and up-and-coming actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers have landed roles in the film. "Star Wars" stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill have already been spotted in London, fueling the rumors of their return to the franchise. Deadline reports Ford is expected to play a "giant role" in the upcoming film, but couldn't confirm details regarding the Ford's storyline.
Though most of the actors connected to the film have refused to comment on any casting rumors, but actor Zac Efron teased fans during the premiere of his upcoming film "Neighbors" on April 28 he might be a part of the cast.
"I don't know. I have no idea on that. There's [...] irons in the fire, so to speak. I don't like to talk about anything too early cause it takes a while to get these things done right," Efron said during an interview, the Latino Review reports.
It isn't the first time Efron has been connected to the film. Efron admitted to MTV News while promoting his film "That Awkward Moment" that he had met with the "Star Wars Episode 7" production team.
"Yeah, I just went and met with them," Efron told MTV News. "So I don't know. It would be cool. I love them, I love them, but... who knows?"
"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
