According to reports, "Glee" is losing one of their main characters. Actress Naya Rivera has reportedly been fired from the Fox show and was "written out" of the Season 5 finale, the New York Daily News reports.
A few weeks ago news broke that Rivera and her "Glee" co-star Lea Michele had gotten into a nasty altercation but sources now claim that Rivera had a fight with the show's producers and she was given her walking papers.
"She went off," a source said, the Daily News reports. "But it had nothing to do with Lea."
There were rumors that Rivera was "jealous" of Michele and was upset that she was the star of the show. A source told PopWrapped.com that Rivera and Michele were both talking about each other on the set a lot.
"There is a lot of sighing and eye-rolling between them," the source said.
Because of Rivera's attitude, producers reportedly decided that her character, Santana, would be "written out" of the Season 5 finale and Rivera would not return next season.
The actress has not responded to the rumors but tweeted that she was excited to watch tonight's Apr. 29 episode.
It seems like Rivera might be going through a tough time. Besides the alleged drama on "Glee," the actress and her rapper fiancé Big Sean ended their engagement.
"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," his rep told US Weekly a few weeks ago. "The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."
News of the split came after Star magazine reported that the rapper had cheated on Rivera but sources close to him told US that it was "100% false and untrue."
