Milwaukee is on a three-game winning streak after handing St. Louis a 5-4 loss on Tuesday. Brewers first baseman Lyle Overbay singled in the game-winning RBI in the 11th to put Milwaukee on top.

"With two strikes, obviously I'm just trying to get him over to third base any way I can," Overbay told the Associated Press. "That was a mistake, finally. The pitch I hit up the middle, I don't know what he was trying to do with it."

The win pushed Milwaukee to 20-7 on the season, giving them the best record in the league.

"We're a team that's going to grind it out. We don't give in, we don't give up at-bats," Brewers starting pitcher Kyle Lohse said. "I don't really look at the big picture. We're just trying to win as many games, rack up the wins and keep piling them on."

Matt Garza (1-2, 4.09 ERA) starts Game 3 for the Brewers. He gave up two runs on Friday in his start against Chicago, but he's 0-1 with an 8.31 ERA in his last three starts in St. Louis, according to the Associated Press.

Opposing Garza is Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller. He's 2-2 on the season with a 2.86 ERA, and in his six career starts against Milwaukee he's never lost. The right-hander is coming off a 1-0 win over Pittsburgh. Although he didn't give up any runs, he walked four batters.

"I haven't been pitching as good as I want to, but still been getting by," Miller told the team website. "I have found ways to get past (the walks) and make big pitches when it matters against tough teams that are doing well. That builds my confidence."
