David Arquette and Christina McLarty Welcomes Son Charlie West

It's a boy for David Arquette and his girlfriend, Christina McLarty.

People Magazine reported that the couple welcomed their first child, Charlie West, on Monday. A representative for the 42-year-old actor confirmed the news.

"Mom, dad and baby are doing well," Arquette's rep told People. "They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time."

Born at 12:35 p.m. in Los Angeles, Charlie weighed in at 8 lbs., 7 oz. A source told Us Weekly that the couple is thrilled about their newest addition. This is the "Scream" actor's second child - he has nine-year-old daughter, Coco, with his ex-wife Courteney Cox.

Last November, the actor revealed he and his girlfriend were expecting a child together.

Arquette and McLarty, a 33-year-old entertainment correspondent, have been dating on and off since 2011 and briefly split in 2012.

Arquette told Us Weekly that he was excited about having a son, adding that he is looking forward to "playing catch, making [his son] laugh, and seeing my girlfriend Christina being a mother for the first time and all the joy and love that it's going to bring her and me."

"I've done it once so there's not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don't know what to expect," Arquette told People about having a second child. "You have to have a lot of faith that you will be able to keep them safe and not mess them up too much."
