Chelsea faces Benfica on Wednesday in the Europa League final.
The Blues have already secured a place in the Premier League's top four. Now they can add a trophy to their season with a win on Wednesday.
"This is the final and I want to win," Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez told the team's website. "If we can do it I will be really proud because we worked so hard in difficult circumstances. You have to give credit to all the people involved, the staff and the players."
A win Wednesday in Amsterdam would make history. Chelsea would become the first club to win the European Cup and Europa League/UEFA Cup in consecutive seasons; they'd also become just the fourth club to win all three main European trophies, according to IB Times.
Frank Lampard, who last week became Chelsea's all-time leader in goals scored, declined to discuss who might lift the trophy if the club makes history on Wednesday.
"Before the game I don't think it's something to talk about," he said. "I don't like to tempt fate. I haven't had a conversation with anyone."
Benfica is equally invested in winning the Europa League cup: the club hasn't won a European trophy in the 51 years.
"... We've rediscovered our luster, some of our old prestige," Benfica manager Jorge Jesus said. "If we compare our recent European pedigree with Chelsea's then obviously Chelsea are favourites. But a final is a final and we at Benfica have a different way of looking at it."
Chelsea knows it's going to be a fight against Benfica.
"Jorge Jesus is a good manager, they are a good team and they have experience in Europe," Benitez said. "In a final it is 50-50 and we will see what happens."
Chelsea defeated Benfica last season when the two teams played in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. The Blues went on to beat Bayern Munich in the final and win their first trophy.
The match starts at 2:45 p.m. ET. You can watch it HERE.
